Technical Superintendent

Taking responsibility for the technical management and performance of a fleet of livestock vessels, the Technical Superintendent will ensure that vessels are maintained to a high operational, safety and regulatory standard. The role will involve working closely with vessel crews, ensuring planned maintenance is completed effectively, managing budgets and technical projects, coordinating repairs and dry-docking, and liaising with owners, class, flag and other relevant stakeholders.
 

The requirements for this role are:
 

• Previous experience as a Technical Superintendent
   
• Experience working with livestock vessels
   
• Strong technical knowledge of vessel maintenance and operations
   
• Previous sailing experience as a Chief Engineer is highly advantageous
   
• Good knowledge of class, flag and statutory requirements
   
• Strong communication and organisational skills
   
• Fluency in English
