Could we see the world’s first energy island in the North Sea? Situated 50 miles off the coast of Denmark’s west coast, approximately the size of 18 football fields and with an estimated cost of $34 billion it could initially provide up to 3 gigawatts of green energy to Europe to help meet the ambitious climate targets that have been set out.
