We are now recruiting for a 3rd Engineer to join the engine department of this celebrated fleet. As an Officer of the Watch, the 3rd Engineer plays a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all technical systems on board. Reporting to the 1st Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for machinery operation, participating in the planned maintenance system (PMS), and ensuring all safety and environmental standards are rigorously upheld. This position is an ideal entry point for those building their marine engineering careers within the cruise sector.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a watchkeeping role at sea, ideally within the cruise or passenger vessel industry.
  • Valid STCW and mandatory training certifications, including MES, aligned with Marine HR standards.
  • A working understanding of maintenance procedures and shipboard safety systems.
  • Familiarity with environmental and health & safety regulations, including awareness of onboard sustainability protocols.
  • Proficient in English to at least a B2 level, ensuring effective communication in an international team setting.
