Chartering Manager

Consortio are excited to announce a new partnership with an international shipping business that controls a significant amount of geared bulk vessels worldwide as well as operating short charter vessels all year round. They are a company that are customer orientated and are always seeking new ways to sustainably improve and increase customer satisfaction. Furthermore, they are always looking for ways to grow and are making significant waves in a very saturated market.
 

Due to recent expansion, they are on the lookout for an experienced Chartering Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the chartering business ranging from Handy to Ultramax vessels. Furthermore, you will be expected to book and secure cargoes on both short- and long-term charters in line with the company’s strategy. In addition to this you will also be expected to manage the post fixture voyage matters and liaise effectively with the Operations department. Finally, you will be expected to think of new commercial strategies to develop business and help the company reach new heights.
 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

• Have over 4 years’ experience as a Chartering Manager / Officer / Executive.
   
• Have a sound understanding of c/p terms and trade requirements.
   
• Have a global market understanding with the ability to follow and everchanging market.
   
• Be fluent in English – both written and verbal.
