Commercial Estimator

Overview
Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates for marine construction and ship repair projects; report to the Commercial Manager.

Key Duties

• Build detailed estimates/budgets and keep them updated through changes.
• Analyse drawings/specs; assemble compliant bid proposals.
• Collaborate with clients, PMs, engineers; present estimates for decisions.
• Source suppliers/subcontractors; assess risks and contingencies.
• Use historical data and market trends; maintain organised bid records.

Requirements

• Marine estimation experience; knowledge of marine construction and equipment.
• Ship repair PM or marine engineering/naval architecture background advantageous.
• Strong IT, maths/analysis, attention to detail; English fluent (Spanish desirable).
• Able to work to tight deadlines; site visits as needed.
