Consortio has partnered with an established maritime organisation is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive business growth in the ship repair and marine services sector. This role requires a proactive and results-oriented professional who can develop client relationships, secure new contracts, and represent the company internationally. The successful candidate will balance strategic sales, client engagement, and market expansion in a dynamic, travel-intensive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the ship repair and marine services market.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct local and international visits to ship owners, managers, agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and networking events; coordinate marketing materials and presentations.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of sales strategies aligned with company targets.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and regular reports on sales activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agents to ensure seamless project handovers and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales or business development within ship repair, shipbuilding, or marine services.
  • Strong network of contacts among ship owners, managers, and marine suppliers is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including internationally, often on short notice.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with ship repair processes, drydocking, and classification requirements.
