Consortio have partnered up with a luxury cruise line, together we are looking for a Hairdresser. 

Qualifications and Profile:

  • Experienced in hairstyling with prior experience in the cruise ship industry or related field, possessing relevant hairstyling certificates.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
  • Exceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to listen effectively.
  • Capable of maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure, exhibiting resilience and teamwork with a positive demeanor.
  • Open-minded and adaptable, possessing high social, interpersonal, and cultural competencies.
  • Proficient in English (both written and verbal), with fluency in German considered advantageous.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance, displaying reliability, hard work ethic, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Alignment with Scylla's core values.

Hotel Department Position: Hairdresser Employer.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist guests during embarkation by escorting them to their cabins and aiding with luggage.
  • Maintain cleanliness of 6 staterooms during changeover days, adhering to Scylla's standards and hygiene protocols.
  • Perform daily cleaning of the salon/SPA area and conduct general cleanings as required.
  • Manage hairdressing appointments in accordance with Scylla's standards.
  • Oversee the provision of welcome towels after excursions, in coordination with onboard masseurs/masseuses.
  • Prepare and serve the early riser breakfast according to company standards.Monitor and replenish supplies in the fitness room throughout the day.
  • Assist with "Turn-down" service on a daily basis.
  • Report technical issues in the salon area to the reception.
  • Provide assistance in the laundry for a minimum of 3 hours per day.
  • Support cleaning of staterooms on a daily basis when necessary.
  • Responsible for morning cleaning of the mess room and maintaining cleanliness of sun deck towels and blankets.
  • Adhere to cleanliness and hygiene regulations, including HACCP standards and waste management protocols.
  • Be available for stand-by duty as required.
  • Handle equipment carefully and assist with inventory as needed.
  • Familiarize oneself with the ship layout and daily program.
  • Provide support to other departments such as housekeeping and reception as necessary.
  • Ensure fair and equal treatment of all crew members.

Additional Information:

  • Additional tasks may include assisting with luggage handling, maintaining cleanliness of the mess room and personal cabin on a daily basis.
  • Commitment to creating a memorable guest experience.
  • Accommodation provided in a shared room onboard with one other crew member (on some ships, accommodation may be shared with more than one).
  • Company-provided uniform; crew members should bring black trousers, white shirts, and black shoes in case uniforms are not yet available onboard.
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of safety protocols and participate in safety drills.
