Our client is German shipping company who have seen great success through their extensive time in the market. Over the course of their life span they have built up a strong presence in Buxtehude. Even though the dry market has been a tough one over the course of the last 5 years they have still maintained a strong profit and look likely to continue this trend. They have also been slowly moving in to ship management and would be interested to expand their portfolio of managed ships over the next couple of years.
 

The role is for a Junior Technical Superintendent who will be responsible for all technical aspects of the Containers under their command. You will ensure all vessels are compliant with the most recent maritime legislation. In this role you will also oversee the dry docking process of the vessels you are responsible for. A key responsibility will also be travelling to inspect your vessels whilst they are on a voyage.
 

To be suitable for this role you will be:
 

  • Sailed & Qualified as Chief Engineer, 2nd Engineer, or at least 3rd Engineer 
     
  • Experienced with Container ships 
     
  • An excellent communicator.
     
  • A strong negotiator Right to live and work in the EU
