Our client is a long-established Hamburg-based ship-owning company with a strong family heritage dating back to 1919. Operating a modern and diversified fleet of deep-sea commercial vessels, the company is recognised for its technical expertise, commitment to quality, and long-term approach to fleet management and operations.
 

In this role as Ship Mechanic, you will carry out maintenance, repairs, and inspections on ship machinery and systems, both in port and during voyage preparation. Working as part of an experienced technical team, you will help ensure the vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in line with international maritime standards.
 

The requirements for this role are:
 

  • Sailing experience as a 3rd Engineer or above on deep-sea commercial ships
     
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
     
  • Fluency in English; German language skills would be an advantage
     
  • Must have the right to work in Germany
