Consortio is proud to be partnering with a highly regarded international ship management company with an established presence across the global tanker market. Known for its commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence, our client manages a modern and technically advanced fleet and maintains an outstanding reputation with oil majors and charterers worldwide. With a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, environmental responsibility, and high-performance standards, the company is now seeking to strengthen its marine team with the appointment of an experienced Marine Superintendent – Wet Fleet.

This is a critical shore-based position supporting LPG, LNG, and Oil Tanker operations, ensuring vessels operate to the highest navigational, safety, and regulatory standards. Acting as a key link between ship and shore, the Marine Superintendent will support Masters and senior officers in maintaining full compliance with international regulations, company procedures, and charter party requirements. The role involves conducting marine visits, internal audits, incident investigations, and supporting vessels through vetting and third-party inspections. You will play a vital part in promoting a strong safety culture, driving quality improvements, ensuring readiness for inspections at all times, and supporting operational excellence across the fleet. This position requires strong leadership, deep tanker expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments including vetting, HSSEQ, and technical teams. It offers the opportunity to directly influence fleet performance, crew development, and customer satisfaction within a prestigious and forward-thinking organisation.

Key Requirements:

  • Master Mariner with a minimum of two years’ command experience, ideally within LPG, LNG, or Oil Tanker operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of international maritime regulations, industry guidelines, vetting requirements, and tanker operational standards.
  • Proven experience in marine inspections, internal auditing, incident investigation, and risk management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to support Masters with navigational practices, cargo operations planning, bridge procedures, and charter party compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong written and spoken English, and the ability to build effective working relationships both onboard and ashore.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior seagoing professional looking to transition into, or further develop within, a shore-based marine management role overseeing a high-quality wet fleet.
