The Onboard Musician plays a central role in creating a sophisticated atmosphere for guests, providing live piano or synthesizer performances across various settings, including tea times, cocktail hours, and special events. Beyond music, this role involves assisting with general operations, supporting the team during embarkation, and helping to ensure that all onboard events run smoothly. This position is integral to the cruise line's commitment to excellence in guest satisfaction, offering both entertainment and personalized interactions that leave a lasting impression.

Role Requirements:

  • Professional Training: Formal qualifications as a pianist or musician with exceptional piano skills and documented performance experience.
  • Entertainment Expertise: A diverse repertoire suitable for dancing parties, light background music, and special events, with a focus on guest requests and expanding musical abilities.
  • Presentation and Conduct: Impeccable grooming and adherence to a formal dress code, with a respectful and professional demeanor towards guests and crew.
  • Flexibility and Teamwork: Ability to manage a dynamic schedule, assist with various onboard tasks, and collaborate effectively with the Hotel Manager and other departments.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and/or German, depending on the vessel’s requirements, to communicate effectively with passengers and crew.

This role offers a unique opportunity to travel through picturesque regions while elevating your musical career within a supportive and professional environment.
