Consortio are excited to announce a new partnership with an international shipping business that controls a significant amount of geared bulk vessels worldwide as well as operating short charter vessels all year round. They are a company that are customer orientated and are always seeking new ways to sustainably improve and increase customer satisfaction. Furthermore, they are always looking for ways to grow and are making significant waves in a very saturated market.
 

As a result of continued growth, they are on the lookout for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for the operational support to the commercial department by managing all the operational aspects of the owned, managed and voyage or time-chartered fleet. In addition to this you will also be expected to communicate with masters, agents and brokers as per daily vessel operations. Furthermore, you will need to handle the physical post fixture operations internally and externally. Finally, you will need to ensure voyage documentation is presented in an effective and timely manner.
 

To be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
 

  • 3 years’ experience in Operations within the shipping industry.
     
  • Understand bills of ladings, voyage documentation, c/p terms and trade requirements.
     
  • Be a team player who has excellent interpersonal skills.
     
  • Fluency in English – both written and verbal.
