Senior Controller

Our client is an international ship owner that provides a number of services for the maritime industry.  With offices located in different countries they are truly a global force that has a reputation for reliability, quality and efficiency with a fleet of dry vessels in their ownership. 
 

Tasks: 

• Creation of internal reports for management as well as for external stakeholders, banks and companies
• Processing inquiries from management and sparring partners for the controlling department
• Creation of operational and strategic (group) plans and forecasts including the derivation of recommendations for action
• Collaboration with specialist departments and national and international affiliated companies
• Preparation of shareholder meetingsNew conception of comprehensive management reporting
• Data maintenance (including in LucaNet) including creation of planned bookings and system-side mapping of extraordinary business transactionsCarrying out profitability calculations as well as scenario and liquidity calculations
• Financing calculationsSales/return and investment calculations for the ships

Requirements: 

• Completed studies in the field of economics, business informatics or comparable qualification
• At least five years of relevant professional experience in the area of ??controlling or corporate finance
• Strong communication skills
• Assertiveness, enjoyment of teamwork and cross-functional projects
• IT affinity and enjoyment of optimizing and automating processes
• Confident use of tools such as MS Office, LucaNet, BI systems (e.g. Infor d/EPM, Tableau & MS-Power BI)Fluent German and English skills
