Our client is a leading shipping industry partner offering global shipping agency services and hub solutions to an array of clients and ports all over the world. Acting as the one stop solution for charterers, ship managers and ship owners/operators they have an immense global presence. The challenges that the shipping industry and ports around the globe have faced over the past 3 years has caused a lot of damage and resulted in a number of ship agents closing down. However, despite these challenges, our client is constantly reaching new heights and is now looking to expand into different corners of the world.
 

As a Ships Agent you are responsible for properly and accurately executing all activities for the ships in different ports of Hamburg on behalf of our client. You will be working both in the office and on board of the vessels, with emphasis on visiting ships arriving and departing. In addition to this you will be in Contact with customs, stevedores, ship suppliers, maintenance companies, cargo interests and various port authorities. Further tasks will include Operational and financial tasks plus calculation of commercial and husbandry pro-forma costs.
 

In order to be considered for this role you must have:
 

  • Have relevent shipping experience or an enthusiasm for shipping.
     
  • Have strong communicational skills.
     
  • Have strong organisational skills.
     
  • Be fluent in English – both written and verbal.
     
  • Be fluent in German – both written and verbal.
     
  • Own a valid Driving license.
