This Hamburg-based role involves full technical and operational responsibility for a number of assigned dry cargo vessels. The successful candidate will serve as the primary link between ship and shore, ensuring vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with international regulations. The role includes regular liaison with crew, shipowners, classification societies, and internal departments including procurement, crewing, and HSSEQ.
Position Requirements:
- Sailing experience as Chief Engineer on dry cargo vessels
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Technical Superintendent for dry cargo
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of class, flag, ISM/ISPS, and MARPOL regulations
- Proactive attitude with strong organisational and decision-making skills
- Comfortable using fleet management systems and reporting tools
