With a modern fleet and an impeccable industry reputation, our client continues to expand and innovate, and as part of this exciting growth, we are supporting their search for an experienced Technical Superintendent.

 

This is a vital role that sits at the heart of the technical operations team. As Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of your assigned vessels. The role requires close collaboration with shipboard staff, class societies, and internal departments, ensuring all technical aspects of vessel performance are met and exceeded. With full lifecycle oversight from dry-docking to defect analysis and budget control, this position is suited for someone who thrives under pressure and brings a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset to fleet management.

 

Key Requirements:

5+ years of experience in a Technical Superintendent role or equivalent ship management function.

A degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering or Chief Engineer Class 1 CoC with relevant sea-going experience.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for daily internal and external communication.

Proficiency with Danaos ERP or a comparable fleet management system is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, dry-docking procedures, and vessel maintenance planning.
